The last (and first) time we were ‘walking with - what is it to be human’ - there were some wonderful reflections…
This one in particular stayed within: “Being there' and 'being with' are much more important." That was spring (for us northern hemisphere human dwellers) - which has now turned to summer. So, three months on from our spring walk - we are inviting you to the summer edition: We will be taking a walk for 60 minutes on Thursday 15th July at 5.30pm (UK time) To show your interest in joining live and walking together - reply to [email protected] with the word walking in the subject title : )… Save the date in your diary and we’ll create a (zoom) link to connect us for the walk. Whether you find yourself in summer or winter, somewhere in between or nowhere specific… Being outside in nature is one way to connect with and enliven the human spirit. The joys of walking are something us humans have known throughout history: https://blog.oup.com/2020/02/five-philosophers-on-the-joys-of-walking/ So if you feel like walking together - to explore our relation with nature, to seek inspiration from our environment: the buds, the blooms, the birdsong... To share this experience with fellow humans as we walk and talk, or just listen and absorb the presence of other life forms. Join us! See you out walking…
